My Art


My art evolves in two directions:

  • Pure fine art direction, where I follow "L'art pour l'art" principle and find decorative solutions, trying to point at the importance of colour and conventionality of forms.
  • Conceptual, where I try my strength in all known fields of plastic visual art.

In these two directions my creative principle is one, which is continuous experimentalism and pioneering to find new forms and new means in art.

In conceptual art I am following "Military Art" direction, which in Armenia was founded by Alexander Melkonyan, and my first steps were done with his help.

Military art recognizes the reality and analyzes it having in view art of war, where traditions were formed in extreme situations on the verge of life and death. Here the existential philosophy is considered the main way of thinking to perceive the world through military culture and aesthetics. My foremost principle is that everything created in this world by people, including art, is for people and not vice versa. Works of art can't be more valuable then the creator, like the human can't be greater then the God.

The utmost culture in the world I consider the human being, who creates a godlike creature, with his dreaming soul and inner emotional world.

I want to cognize the world and spirit, and to find the New Utopia of humanity. I dream to live and create in a new civilization, where will dominate only Love and Creative Soul. In my art I am looking for this future and audience.
