During my stay in Donegal, Ireland I continued collaborating with Ian Joyce and did exchange with Cló.
Trasnú is an exchange residency between the Gaeltacht and the Caucasus region funded by Ealaín na Gaeltachta and in 2009 was awarded to Nuala Ní Fhlathúin and Mkrtich Tonoyan.
Visual material will also be presented by Ian Joyce along with a poetry reading By Cathal O’ Searcaigh.

EXHIBITION and WORKSHOP SYMPOSIUM

The “Anthelion” project, initiated by artist Ian Joyce and Cló Ceardlann,
focuses on developing artistic and cultural links between European peripheries, interpreting contemporary artistic expression as a medium of communication between culturally and linguistically distinctive regions.
Artists and curators are invited to participate in a workshop symposium on the basis of making specific contributions to these research themes. Invited Presentations:The Symposium is structured around invited presentations, based on the themes of the project:

The festival has been developed over the years in alternative art spaces across the city of Sofia. The initial venue was an unused water tower, which has now become a symbol for our city’s alternative possibilities. During the festival we populate abandoned or underused buildings with art and artist’s works and open them to the public. Progressively gaining recognition in the Bulgaria art scene, we have over time added new venues to the festival.

Cultural cruise to Qashatagh-2010
Mkrtich Tonoyan led a Culture-Educational researching cruise to the South-East of Armenia and Artsakh between the 14th – 19th of August, 2010.
Organized by the ACOSS, “Mitq” analytic centre and the SAA.
13 participants from different professional backgrounds realized mobile Cultural-charitable events over the border villages and studied social problems there. This program will have continuation in the future.
